If someone contacts you during normal hours, try to get back to them in a short amount of time. You don’t want them to think that you aren’t important enough for prime business hours.
If someone answers the phone immediately, you might have to be prepared to have a conversation.
If you’re calling with the intent to leave a voicemail, you might want to deliberately call during non work hours.
Try to mix it up sometimes, mail offers something that is concrete and physical. Voicemail lends well to the recipient hearing your energy and enthusiasm!
